A WONDERFUL CHAT WITH MICHAEL MORPURGO

In the authors green room at Henley Literary festival I was introduced to Michael Morpurgo. We were both waiting to be called for our 4pm author talks.

This iconic man is a legend and yet utterly genuine, humble and charming.

"So what are you writing next?" Michael was truly interested and listening attentively.

"My first children's book-Im currently working with my illustrator."

We continued chatting and as we prepared to leave for our talks he remarked -

" Well I hope you sell lots and lots and lots of copies ....but not as many as me!"
